Still life photography series
6″ x 9″ prints on fine art paper
This series invites viewers to explore themes of suspension, time, and the transient nature of existence. The levitation of objects, which are often symbolic of domesticity or nature, suggests a momentary pause in the flow of time, as if the objects are caught in a state of flux between reality and the surreal. The careful selection and placement of these objects encourage interpretations that range from the philosophical to the whimsical.
“In creating this series, my goal was to push the boundaries of still life photography by introducing an element of the fantastical. Levitation as a concept intrigues me as I aim to capture that fleeting sense of magic that occurs when the familiar becomes unfamiliar, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
